Bangladesh Releases 3,000 Arrested in Dhaka Quota Reform Movement

 So far, 274 cases have been filed in different police stations of Dhaka city in connection with the violence that took place around the quota reform movement. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 3,11 people in these cases till Thursday (August 1) morning.


Most of the arrested are Jamaat and BNP leaders. This information was reported by the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP on Thursday (August 1).


According to DMP, those involved in the violence-vandalism incident are being identified and arrested by analyzing the intelligence information and CCTV footage. As a result, 3 thousand 11 people have been arrested in Dhaka.


It was also informed that 274 cases have been registered in 50 police stations of DMP. It has also been reported that those arrested in these cases have been handed over to the court.
