Dr. Malaysian Prime Minister's phone conversation with Yunus

 

Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, chief adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh. Muhammad Yunus spoke on the phone. During the conversation, Anwar Ibrahim expressed support to the interim government in restoring peace and security in Bangladesh.

Anwar Ibrahim gave this information in a post on Facebook on Wednesday (August 14). He wrote in the post, I had a phone conversation with my old friend Professor Muhammad Yunus yesterday. I personally congratulated him on his appointment as Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh.

Anwar Ibrahim also wrote that Professor Yunus has a long-standing good relationship with Malaysia. I assured him, Malaysia is ready to help and support the Interim Government in rebuilding and restoring peace and security in Bangladesh. Assuring protection and equal rights to all Bangladeshi citizens including minorities. He expressed satisfaction with Yunus.

Dr. Anwar Ibrahim to visit Bangladesh as soon as possible to strengthen brotherly relations between the two countries. The Facebook post also mentions that Muhammad Yunus has invited.
