Two Bangladeshi youths injured in firing by Indian BSF

Two Bangladeshi youths were injured in firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Shikaria border of Prithimpasa Union of Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar. The incident took place at 1846 pillar area adjacent to Alinagar BGB camp on Thursday around 2.30 pm.

The seriously injured are Kamrul Islam (22) son of Aidan Ali of Gankia village and Chand Ali (40) son of Jabbar Ali of Shikaria village in the area of ​​boundary pillar No. 1846 on the border with India of Shikaria village of Prithimpasa Union. He was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital after being seriously injured in the firing. They are undergoing treatment.

According to local sources, Kamrul Islam, son of Eidan Ali of Gankia village and Chand Ali, son of Jabbar Ali of Shikaria village, were grazing buffaloes on the border at the border pillar No. 1846 near the Indian border of Shikaria village of Prithimpasa Union. At that time the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on patrol fired at them. They were seriously injured. 

At that time the locals rescued them and took them to Kulaura Government Hospital. Doctors there gave first aid to seriously injured Kamrul Islam and Chand Ali and later shifted them to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Kulaura Government Hospital Resident Medical Officer Dr. Zakir Hossain said, Kamrul Islam was shot four times. Chand Ali was shot in the right leg. They were sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital with first aid.

Meanwhile, Alinagar BGB camp commander Hari Jeevan said he did not know anything about the incident. He said that he did not know what happened at the border as he was away on official work
